Winnsboro is a small county seat in central South Carolina's rolling hills, about 35 miles north of Columbia via I-77. The town sits along historic US 321, connecting Charlotte and Rock Hill to the northeast with Columbia to the south. Downtown centers on a classic courthouse square lined with antebellum buildings and local shops. The world's smallest police station, converted from an old outhouse, still stands on Zion Street as a local curiosity.
