Winkwell is a small Hertfordshire village near Hemel Hempstead, reached via the A4251 from the A41 trunk road. The M25 orbital is 15 minutes away, connecting to London and national routes, whilst local roads serve Berkhamsted and Tring through the Chilterns. Luton Airport is 20km northeast. The village sits beside the Grand Union Canal, where Lock 58 retains its original 1790s stonework.
