Winkhill is a small Staffordshire Moorlands village between Leek and Ashbourne, accessed via the A523 from Leek or local roads from the A515. The area sits at the Peak District's southern edge, with rolling limestone countryside and typical Pennine weather patterns. About 30 EV charging points serve the surrounding towns. The village retains its 18th-century coaching inn from the old Leek-Ashbourne packhorse route.
