Windom is a small agricultural city in southwestern Minnesota, serving as Cottonwood County's seat. Highway 60 runs east-west through town, connecting to Worthington and eventually Interstate 35 near Fairmont. Highway 71 provides the north-south route to Marshall and beyond. The city's standout feature is Island Park, a unique 65-acre recreation area with lakes and islands connected by bridges right in the heart of farm country.
