Westhay lies deep in the Somerset Levels, about 25km from Wells via the A39 and local roads. Most visitors approach from the M5 at Junction 23 or through Glastonbury on the B3151. The village sits amongst the distinctive wetlands and peat moors that characterise this ancient landscape. Westhay Nature Reserve protects some of Britain's most important reed beds and provides sanctuary for the elusive bittern, one of our rarest breeding birds.
