West Roy Lake is a tiny community of 30 people in northwestern Minnesota's lake country, about 25 miles north of Detroit Lakes via US Highway 59. Most visitors come from the Fargo area (60 miles) or make the 200-mile drive from Minneapolis. The remote location means limited EV charging, so plan stops in Detroit Lakes.
