West Pelzer is a small mill town in Anderson County, reached via Highway 8 from Greenville (20 miles east) or Anderson (15 miles west). Interstate 85 connects to longer routes, with exits at Piedmont or Williamston. The town sits along the Saluda River in South Carolina's Upstate region. The massive brick Pelzer Manufacturing Company mill building still towers over the riverfront as a reminder of the town's textile heritage.
