West Overton is a small Wiltshire village on the A4 between Marlborough and Calne, perfectly placed for exploring Avebury's ancient sites just 4km north. The village sits in the Kennet Valley's sheltered landscape, surrounded by the chalk downs that characterise this part of Wiltshire. Popular routes include the short hop to Avebury's stone circle and connections to Marlborough via the A4. A remarkable sarsen stone still stands in one of the village gardens, a rare survivor from the prehistoric landscape.
