Waters Upton is a small Shropshire village about 8km northeast of Telford, reached via the A518 and local roads from the A41. The area's gentle farmland sits between two active RAF bases, Cosford and Shawbury, giving the countryside a distinctive military aviation character. The village church houses a remarkable 14th-century wooden effigy of an armoured knight.
