Wardie forms part of Edinburgh's northern residential belt, easily reached via the A902 Granton Road from the city centre or Ferry Road from Leith. Most visitors arrive along the A90 from Edinburgh Airport, 12 kilometres west, whilst the nearby A1 connects to England and the Borders. The area benefits from excellent EV charging infrastructure with over 200 public points nearby. Wardie's claim to fame is hosting one of Scotland's largest IKEA stores, a distinctive blue landmark visible across the northern suburbs.
