Walwick is a small Northumbrian village positioned along Hadrian's Wall, two kilometres from Chollerford. Access via the A6079 connects to the A69 for Newcastle (35km east) or Carlisle (50km west). The B6318 Military Road follows the Wall through scenic countryside. The village sits beside Chesters Roman Fort, home to Britain's finest preserved Roman cavalry bathhouse with intact changing rooms and underfloor heating.
