Volga, IA

This small Iowa farming town of 200 sits along Highway 18 in Clayton County's rolling hills, about 15 miles from the Mississippi River. Most visitors arrive via Highway 18 from Fayette or continue east toward the river bluffs. Highway 150 connects north to Monona and south to Strawberry Point, while US Route 52 near Marquette provides access to Dubuque 40 miles away. The town still maintains one of Iowa's few active one-room schoolhouses.
