Woodson, IL

Woodson is a farming town of 550 people in central Illinois, about 15 miles northeast of Jacksonville via Route 267. Most visitors come from I-72 (Exit 68 near Jacksonville), with Springfield about 45 minutes away and Chicago roughly three hours via I-55 south to I-72 west. The town sits among typical Illinois prairie farmland with corn and soybean fields. Its small cemetery contains limestone markers from the 1800s German and Irish settlers.
