Most visitors arrive via I-90 at Murdo, then take Highway 83 south to connect with Highway 18. The town of 2,900 sits on rolling prairie near the Rosebud Indian Reservation and still operates the Sunset Drive-In theater, one of the state's last remaining drive-ins since 1956.
