Winifred is a tiny farming town in north-central Montana, about 40 miles northeast of Lewistown via Highway 191 and Montana 81. Most visitors arrive from Great Falls or Billings, passing through endless wheat fields under Montana's famous big sky. The grain elevator serves as the town's most recognizable landmark, visible for miles across the prairie.
