Westerville is a Columbus suburb about 20 miles northeast of downtown, easily reached via Interstate 71 or State Route 3. The city serves as a bedroom community for Columbus commuters while maintaining its own identity around Otterbein University. Popular routes include the daily drive south on Cleveland Avenue to downtown Columbus and weekend trips north on I-71 to Delaware. The historic Hanby House, birthplace of "Up on the Housetop," sits right on Main Street.
