Wapakoneta lies along Interstate 75 in west-central Ohio, about an hour from Columbus or Toledo. State Route 67 cuts east-west through downtown, while US 33 skirts the southern edge. Most visitors come from Lima (20 miles), Bellefontaine (30 miles), or other regional cities via these state routes. The Neil Armstrong Air and Space Museum downtown celebrates the hometown hero who first walked on the moon.
