Walnut Cove, NC

Walnut Cove is a small town in north-central North Carolina's Stokes County, about 30 miles north of Winston-Salem via US 311. The town of 2,100 sits in rolling Piedmont foothills where tobacco farming shaped the local economy. Most visitors arrive on US 311 from the Triad area or NC 8 from Virginia, with longer trips connecting through I-40 and US 220. The restored 1920s railroad depot downtown now houses the visitor center.
