Waldron, the Scott County seat, sits in Arkansas's river valley between Fort Smith and the Ouachita Mountains. Highway 71 runs north-south through town, while Highway 80 provides the main east-west route. Most visitors arrive via Interstate 40, either through Ozark and Highway 23 or from Alma on Highway 71.
