Volente, TX

Volente is a small lakeside community of about 800 people on Lake Travis, 20 miles northwest of Austin. Take Highway 183 north to Highway 620 west for the most direct route from the city. The area sits in classic Texas Hill Country terrain with limestone bluffs and clear lake waters. Volente Beach Resort offers one of the few public swimming spots on Lake Travis, complete with a zipline that runs directly over the water.
