Tropic, UT

Tropic is a small Utah town of 582 people that sits 8 miles from Bryce Canyon National Park at 6,200 feet elevation. Highway 12 is the main route, connecting to Interstate 15 via Highway 20 from Cedar City (85 miles) or through Cannonville from Highway 89. The town's main street still follows the original 1890s Mormon pioneer layout with extra-wide roads designed for ox-drawn wagon U-turns.
