Tonasket, WA

Tonasket is a small farming town in north-central Washington, 20 miles from the Canadian border on Highway 97. The main route connects north to the Osoyoos border crossing and south through the Okanogan Valley toward Wenatchee. State Route 20 intersects here, leading west to the North Cascades. The town sits in apple and cattle country along the Okanogan River, with a distinctive red wooden water tower from the 1920s that serves as a landmark for travelers.
