Texico sits right on the New Mexico-Texas border along US Highway 60/84, about 9 miles southeast of Clovis. This small farming town serves as a natural crossing point between states, with the main highway connecting travelers heading east to Texas or west into New Mexico. The most unique feature is Main Street, where the state line runs directly down the middle of the road, so you can walk from New Mexico to Texas just by crossing the street.
