Sunny Slopes is a tiny Eastern Sierra community of 323 people in Mono County, sitting along Highway 395 between Bishop and Bridgeport. The high desert location brings hot summers and snowy winters, with the Sierra Nevada rising dramatically to the west. Most visitors pass through on 395, the main north-south route connecting Southern California to Reno. Mammoth Yosemite Airport provides the closest air access. The town's original early 1900s water tower still stands as a highway landmark.
