Sulphur, OK

Sulphur is about 85 miles south of Oklahoma City via I-35 and Highway 7, serving as the main gateway to Chickasaw National Recreation Area. Most visitors take Exit 55 off I-35, then head west on Highway 7 straight into town. The city sits in south-central Oklahoma's Arbuckle Mountains foothills, with Highway 177 running north-south and Highway 7 connecting east to Davis and west toward Ardmore. The original 1898 Chickasaw Nation capitol building, made of local limestone, now operates as a tribal history museum downtown.
