Stem is a small North Carolina town of about 1,250 people located 25 miles northeast of Raleigh in Granville County. Take US Highway 15 north from the Triangle area, or exit I-85 near Creedmoor and head north on Highway 15 for about 8 miles. The town sits in rolling Piedmont countryside and serves as a quiet residential community for commuters. Its restored 1920s train depot, complete with original Seaboard Air Line Railway signage, now houses the town hall.
