Somerville, TX

Somerville is a small Texas town of 1,100 people in Burleson County, about 80 miles from both Houston and Austin. Highway 36 runs right through town, connecting it north to Caldwell and south to Bryan-College Station. Most visitors arrive via US 290 from either direction, then take local roads north. The town sits in rolling countryside near the Brazos River, where coastal plains meet Hill Country. It's home to a working cotton gin from 1900 that still processes local harvests.
