Smithfield, NE

Smithfield is a tiny farming town of about 100 people in south-central Nebraska's Gosper County. Highway 283 runs right through town, connecting north to I-80 and south toward Kansas. Most visitors are passing through on agricultural business or heading to nearby Elwood. The massive grain elevator dominates the skyline and can be spotted from miles across the flat prairie.
