Shillington is a small borough in Berks County, five miles southwest of Reading via Routes 422 and 724. The Pennsylvania Turnpike provides access from major cities like Philadelphia (60 miles), while local roads serve daily commuters to Reading's business district. Reading Regional Airport sits 8 miles northwest. The town was named after the Shilling family, who built a mill along Wyomissing Creek in the 1740s.
