Scotia sits just across the Mohawk River from Schenectady in New York's Capital Region. Take I-890 west from Albany to Route 5 for the most direct approach, or use Route 50 for north-south travel through the area. Albany International Airport is about 20 miles southeast via I-890. The town's claim to fame is Jumpin' Jack's Drive-In, where carhops still serve customers on roller skates just like they did when it opened in 1952.
