Sallis is a tiny Mississippi community of about 200 people in Attala County's pine-covered hills. Highway 35 runs right through town, connecting south to I-20 near Morton (30 miles) and north to Kosciusko (15 miles). Most trips are local runs to Kosciusko for services or longer hauls to Jackson via I-20. The town preserves one of Mississippi's last original one-room schoolhouses.
