Rockford is a small farming town in western Ohio near the Indiana border, home to about 1,000 people. State Route 118 runs right through town, connecting to Celina 8 miles southeast and continuing toward Indiana. Most visitors arrive via US Route 33 to the south, then take local roads north. The town's claim to fame is its 1874 covered bridge over Shane Creek, one of the few historic covered bridges still in daily use in Mercer County.
