Riverton, IL

Riverton is a small central Illinois city about 10 miles northwest of Springfield, home to 3,500 people. Take I-72 west from Springfield to Exit 91, then Route 125 north. From Chicago, it's I-55 south to Springfield, then I-72 west. The volunteer fire department's red brick station hosts a popular annual pancake breakfast.
