Rison, AR

Rison is a small county seat in south-central Arkansas with about 1,000 residents. Highway 79 runs north-south through town, connecting to Pine Bluff 30 miles northeast and continuing toward Louisiana. Highway 167 provides east-west access. Most long-distance travelers use Highway 79 north to reach Interstate 530 and Little Rock, about 60 miles away. The 1929 brick courthouse still anchors the town square.
