Red Oak, OK

Red Oak is a small town of 539 people in southeastern Oklahoma's forested hill country. Reach it via US Highway 270, which connects to McAlester 30 miles west and continues toward Arkansas. State Highway 2 provides north-south access to Wilburton and US Highway 69. The town features one of Oklahoma's few remaining original one-room schoolhouses from the early 1900s.
