Rapids City, IL

Rapids City is a small Mississippi River town in northwestern Illinois, about 15 miles east of the Quad Cities. Route 84 provides the main access, running north-south along the scenic river corridor. From the Quad Cities, take I-74 west to Exit 5, then Route 84 north for 12 miles. The nearest airport is Quad City International, about 20 miles southwest in Moline. The town's historic grain elevator serves as a prominent landmark for river navigation.
