Platinum is a tiny Yup'ik village of 43 people on Alaska's remote Bering Sea coast, accessible only by small aircraft through Platinum Airport. No roads connect it to anywhere else. The community relies on subsistence fishing and hunting, with traditional salmon processing camps still operating along the Goodnews River using centuries-old preservation methods.
