The town sits on rolling prairie and limestone hills, with US Highway 60 as the main east-west route and Highway 11 running north-south. Pawhuska is famous as the filming location for "The Pioneer Woman," and Ree Drummond's Mercantile store has become a major tourist draw on the restored main street.
