Parnell is a small farming town in northwest Missouri, accessible via Highway 46 about 12 miles from Maryville. Most visitors arrive from Kansas City via I-35 and US-69, or from St. Joseph on US-71. The community of 189 sits amid rolling agricultural land typical of Nodaway County. Its vintage grain elevator towers over the surrounding cornfields and has been a local landmark for more than 50 years.
