Take State Route 272 from Colfax (15 miles southwest) or approach from Spokane via US 195 (45 miles north). The town sits in a river valley surrounded by the rolling hills that make this one of America's top wheat regions. The old concrete railroad bridge still spans the Palouse River right through downtown.
