Pageland is a small farming town in south-central South Carolina, about an hour southeast of Charlotte via US 601. The town sits at the intersection of highways 601 and 9, serving cotton and watermelon farms in Chesterfield County. Most traffic is local agricultural routes, though some residents commute to Charlotte. The annual Watermelon Festival in July celebrates the area's status as a major South Carolina watermelon producer.
