Nixon, TX

Nixon is a small Texas town about 50 miles southeast of Austin and 60 miles from San Antonio, accessible via US 183 and State Highway 80. Most visitors pass through on rural routes between major cities, though it makes an easy day trip from either metro area. The community sits along the San Marcos River in rolling agricultural country and was named after early settlers who ran the first general store and post office in the 1880s.
