Newton, UT

Newton is a small farming town in Cache Valley, about 10 miles southwest of Logan via US-89. The community sits at 4,500 feet elevation between mountain ranges, with hot summers and snowy winters. Most visitors arrive on US-89 from Logan or Salt Lake City, with State Route 23 providing direct town access. Newton is famously the birthplace of television inventor Philo T. Farnsworth, who conceived electronic television while working in local potato fields in 1921.
