Newport, MN

Newport is a small Mississippi River city 10 miles southeast of Saint Paul, easily reached via I-494 east to Highway 61 south. The 25-minute drive from Minneapolis–Saint Paul International Airport follows the same route. Highway 61 serves as the main corridor for both local commutes and longer trips from northern Minnesota via Highway 10. Bald eagles nest along the river bluffs here each winter.
