New Square is a small Hasidic village in Rockland County, about 35 miles northwest of NYC via the Thruway (Exit 14). Take Route 45 north from Spring Valley or Route 306 from the Palisades Parkway. The 1.4-square-mile community sits in the Hudson Valley's rolling hills and is home to one of America's largest Skver Hasidic populations, with nearly all 9,800 residents belonging to the same religious sect.
