Nelson, GA

Nelson is a small city of about 1,100 people in Cherokee County, roughly 50 miles north of Atlanta in Georgia's foothills. Take I-575 north to Exit 20, then follow local roads west to State Route 5, which runs right through town. The city sits where the rolling piedmont meets the Appalachian foothills, and it's home to one of Georgia's few remaining covered bridges that still carries car traffic across Noonday Creek.
