Mount Crawford is a small Shenandoah Valley town of about 500 people, located 15 miles south of Harrisonburg via Route 257. It sits between the Blue Ridge and Allegheny Mountains with easy Interstate 81 access at nearby Bridgewater or Harrisonburg exits. The community centers around agriculture in this fertile valley setting. Its most recognizable landmark is a towering concrete grain elevator from 1949 that still serves local farmers.
