Mount Calm, TX

Mount Calm is a tiny Hill County community of about 440 people, sitting 25 miles northeast of Waco in the Texas countryside. Most folks arrive via I-35 to Hillsboro, then take Farm Road 171 east for 15 miles through cotton country. You can also get there from Waco on Highway 6 north or from East Texas via State Highway 22. The town got its name from a peaceful hill that stood out to 1850s settlers, and you can still see the original surveyor's marker near the community center.
