Minerva is a small Ohio city of about 3,200 people located 20 miles southeast of Canton in Stark County's rolling farmland. State Route 183 runs through town, connecting to Route 11 which provides access to Canton and Interstate 77. Most visitors arrive from nearby communities like Canton or Carrollton on short local trips, while longer drives come via I-77 from Cleveland or Akron. The city still operates one of Ohio's few remaining independent telephone companies, established in 1902.
