Millard is a tiny farming community in north-central Missouri, about 15 miles southwest of Kirksville via Highway 63 and County Road 151. Most visitors arrive from Columbia (north on Highway 63) or Kansas City (I-35 to Highway 36 to Highway 63). The settlement of just over 100 people sits among corn and soybean fields, named for William Millard who built a mill here in the 1850s—you can still find the old foundation stones near the original creek site.
